Today’s Tip: Lemon As Insect Repellent

Submitted by anaturalday on Friday, 25 September 2009No Comment

lemon 001We have already mentioned that lemon makes a fantabulous flea repellent. It turns out other insects dislike lemon as well, and using it to get rid of insects is both cheap and totally natural!

Ant issue, for instance? Instead of using toxic ant repellents and those ”hotels” that don’t work anyway, try dripping  lemon juice on floor boards, wall cracks and window sills to stop the pesky critters from invading your home.

Moths may hate moth balls, but they loathe lemon just as much. Moth balls are chock full of toxic chemicals, so try dried lemon peels instead. Your clothes and closet will smell nice too!
