Today’s Tip: Bath Salts, Cellulite, And You

Submitted by anaturalday on Thursday, 3 December 2009No Comment

essential oils bestCellulite plagues pretty much all women, but it’s possible to bath your cellulite away or at least lessen it! Try this essential oil and sea salt combination, nicknamed “The Skinny Bath”:

3 drops of lavender essential oil

3 drops of grapefruit oil

2 drops juniper essential oil

2 cups (500 ml) of sea salt

Grapefruit helps rid the body of cellulite by cleansing away toxins; it also relieves water tension. Juniper is said to relieve cellulite by enabling the body to “throw off toxic wastes that accumulate as a result of contemporary lifestyles.” “Contemporary”=”cheese fries” Both Grapefruit and Juniper help the skin work more efficiently. Lavender is incredibly rejunvenating for both mind and body.

Be sure the oils are well mixed with the salt to avoid any skin irritation. After a warm bath soaking in the salts, apply a mixture of the same oils blended with 1/2 ounce base oil to cellulite areas.

In terms of ways to lessen one’s cellulite, I’d say this is one of the more fun ways to do it! Find essential oils and sea salts at places like Reading Terminal Market www.readingterminalmarket.org, Natural Goodness Market and Cafe www.naturalgoodnessmarket.com and Whole Foods www.wholefoods.com.
