Kevin Costner’s “Ocean Therapy” For Oil Spill

Submitted by on Saturday, 22 May 2010No Comment

Kevin Costner has won our hearts yet again. (Hey, we liked Waterworld, okay?) The New York Daily News reported that the actor’s company with his scientist brother, Costner Industries Nevada Corporation, has spent over $26 million on the invention and development of Ocean Therapy, a device that separates oil and water “on a massive scale.”

Ocean Therapy works by sucking in contaminated water, separating it from the oil, and returning the water to the ocean “nearly 100% clean.” BP has agreed to test six of the machines this week. And since we don’t want to live in a world where we say “Remember swimming in the ocean???” we sure as heck hope it works!!!!
